Uchenna, R. Nwaneri, M.D.
Specializing in joint replacement, Dr. Nwaneri is the visionary behind The Spine & Joint Center.
His patients are generally those who suffer from pain, difficulty walking or have interference with
their activities of daily living due to joint problems. He performs both hip and knee replacements
when arthritis or injury, degeneration of the joint or other conditions warrant a more intensive approach.
Dr. Nwaneri earned his medical degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. He served his internship
in general surgery as well as his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Howard University Hospital.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the National Board of Medical Examiners,
Dr. Nwaneri is an active fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic
Foot and Ankle Society. He is a member of the Prince George’s County Medical Advisory Board, the Medical
Chirurgical Society of Maryland and the Howard University Medical Alumni Society.
Dr. Nwaneri has led numerous presentations on various orthopaedics subjects nationwide and has been
published on a variety of topics, from fractures to total knee arthroplasty.
